The ancient Abbey of Flône was a monastery of Augustinian canons located in Amay, in Belgium, on the banks of the Meuse, in the middle of thick vegetation enclosed between the mountains. This monastery, founded at the beginning of the 11th century, developed rapidly thanks to the benefactions and donations of different counts. The canons carried out remarkable industrial and agricultural activity there.
