The Nassauische Kleinbahn AG was founded on July 9, 1898 and was supposed to connect the remote Hintertaunusland with the traffic arteries in the Rhine and Aar valleys.
Passenger traffic (1919/20 also goods traffic) from Braubach to Oberlahnstein ended on March 1, 1917.
