The section of the Meraner Höhenweg between the Leiteralm and the Berggasthof Steinegg offers several fantastic views of the Meraner Land as far as the Penegal in the south. The nature of the trail is good overall and the slight incline between the two corners allows rapid hiking. However, one should also be aware that the very good accessibility of the route by means of the cable cars from Dorf Tirol and Algund attracts a very large number of hikers.
