The field stone church with a polygonal choir closure from the dodecagon was built at the beginning of the 14th century. The boarded-up sloping west tower was only built after the Thirty Years' War in front of the west gable with decoration, it covers the wide west portal. The two bronze bells in the tower were cast in the 15th century.

The structure is strictly oriented and has the internal dimensions of 9 mx 16.70 m with a wall thickness of 1.20 m. The architectural elements such as portals, window reveals and gables were made of brick with the format of a monastery. In 1894 the windows were enlarged in a neo-Gothic style.

The interior is flat covered with a wooden beam ceiling. The interior is very simple, the pulpit and parish chairs are neo-Gothic, plus a modern masonry altar table. The tin altar candlesticks bear the names of the donors and are from the late 17th century. The stained glass windows from 1995 are donations or gifts from companies and community members, the names are given at the bottom of the window.

A winter church has been set up under the west gallery, on the gallery there is a Grüneberg organ from 1907 and a memorial plaque for those who fell in the First World War.

The New Cemetery extends at the entrance to the village (Stargarder Str. 42), and here is the Godenschwege family grave, one of the families who founded the stained glass windows.

      The church in Bargensdorf

The place was only mentioned as "Berningestorpe" in 1382, but at that time it was already a sizable farming village with a Schulzengericht and an independent parish.

The church also belongs to the time of the beginning of the 14th century.

It is a towerless boulder building with a polygonal choir, which is formed from five irregular sides of a dodecagon. ...

Bricks were installed on the portals, corners, windows and for the west gable triangle - the format of which refers to the 14th century.

The windows were enlarged in 1894 in the neo-Gothic style. The interior is also "modern-Gothic".

The sloping wooden tower, which was built on the medieval model, was built in front of the western facade after the Thirty Years War (1618-48) and conceals the wide west portal. The bells in the tower were cast in the 15th century.
