Bergosa is one of the towns in La Garcipollera that was expropriated as a result of the construction of the Yesa reservoir. Although this area is apparently far from the swamp, it was decided to expropriate the land from its inhabitants to reforest the land and thus avoid the dragging of excess sediment into the swamp and its possible clogging.
Bergosa was left uninhabited in 1966 and, since then, its buildings have been falling into ruin. Although in recent years some descendants of the former owners are working on the reconstruction of some buildings.
One of them is an old barn that has impressive views over the Aragón valley. To the north, we see the Pyrenees in all its splendor and to the south, the Val Ancha, the Rapitán and the Peña Oroel.
