Almost at the end of our walking route we saw a red deer. This animal had probably fought with another male, since we are in the middle of the rutting season. The time of year when the deer are ready to mate is the rutting season and runs approximately from September 15 to early October. During this period the males make their calls, the bellows, and compete for the females in many ways.
