    Monteombraro is a place of culture and reflection; the seventeenth-century church dedicated to San Salvatore, located on the top of the mountain overlooking the town, where the castle once stood, is splendid. Inside there are precious paintings, icons and furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. The marvelous organ from the 19th century, recently restored, is also of great value. The original inhabited area, characterized by the typical stone houses, is gathered around the church.
