The forecourt and around the station building are all really nicely done. There is a small green area with small recessed trampolines. Some opportunities to sit down and relax and, in summer, a water feature on the forecourt. Unfortunately the building itself is very dilapidated and dilapidated, but this should change soon. In the immediate vicinity there is kebab, pizza and the "Frankenberger Tor" with ice cream parlor and shops.

Frankenberg is a medium-sized town in northern Hesse with a very beautiful old town (half-timbered buildings, great town hall, old Gothic church) and a nice promenade on the Eder. Definitely worth a visit before or after the tour.
