The Piazza Grande represents the historic center of Locarno. It boasts splendid porticoes, under which there is no shortage of shops and restaurants. The square is adorned with beautiful historic buildings. In the summer season the square hosts important concerts (such as Moon & Stars) and the International Film Festival.
