Cold Water Falls
They are not high (the highest one is 13 meters high), but large waterfalls, formed on the triple glacial valley threshold by the Zimna Woda stream. Waterfalls were one of the oldest tourist destinations in the Tatra Mountains. They were made famous by patients and tourists vacationing in Stary Smokowiec. For tourists visiting them, the first Rainer shelter in the Tatra Mountains was built (now it is no longer a shelter, but a buffet and a museum for stretchers).
These waterfalls are approx. 1.5 km long, at an altitude of 1153 to 1276 m above sea level. Sequentially from the bottom, these are:- Long Waterfall (Dlhý vodopád),
- Great Waterfall (Veľký vodopád),
- Hidden Waterfall (Skrytý vodopád),
