Rest at Pompejanum in Aschaffenburg. A wonderful view across to Aschaffenburg Castle, the Main and the Spessart. Extremely worth it. Visiting the Pompeianum is fun. A look into another world, another culture.

Bavaria's King Ludwig I had the villa built based on historical models. Destroyed in World War II, the Pompeianum has been rebuilt. It's worth a visit. The architecture and the preserved and restored frescoes are impressive.

  • The Pompejanum is an ideal replica of a Roman villa. It stands on the high banks of the Main in Aschaffenburg and is a replica of a house from Pompeii, the Casa dei Dioscuri, so named after a wall drawing, which was located in the entrance area.

The whole circumference at the main is just nice and calming.
