At the top of the little Pal, a defense system used by the Austrians from the First World War was rebuilt. Here are military monuments and war (open-air) museums of the Austrians and Italians, because during the First World War the Kleine Pal (1863 m) was a strategically important point on the mountain front a little east of the top of the pass.
