The spa park was created in its current location in the 1960s. An extensive renovation and redesign was carried out on the occasion of the state garden show in 2008. The heart of the park is the Kurparksee. The north shore of the lake is very linear and architecturally designed. The south bank has a curved shoreline, which was laid out in a natural way with gravel and shrubs. The overflow of the lake flows into the renatured Mühlbach, which flows through the entire park. The herbaceous facets are to the north of the lake. These perennial beds, laid out in the shape of a pyramid, develop a strong luminosity, especially in early summer. The leaf-shaped alternating flowerbeds, which are replanted in summer and autumn, are also gorgeous. In the eastern area, there are extensive lawns with old trees and two children's playgrounds. The Salinensteg is also located here, a filigree structure made of steel and glass with an elevator and a counter-rotating double spiral staircase to overcome the height difference to the Salinenpark beyond the railroad tracks.
