Bicaz-Chei is a commune in Neamț County, Transylvania, Romania, consisting of the villages of Bârnadu, Bicaz-Chei (residence), Gherman and Ivaneș.
The commune is located in the western extremity of the county, on the border with Harghita county, in the area of the upper course of the Bicaz river in the area where it receives the waters of the Dămuc tributary, at the foot of Ceahlău, Hășmaș and Tarcău mountains. It is crossed by the national road DN12C, which passes through the Bicaz gorges and connects Piatra Neamț with Gheorgheni and the Bicaz – Bicaz Chei industrial railway. At Bicaz-Chei, from DN12C, the county road DJ127A branches, which leads to Dămuc, climbs the Dămucului valley and then descends on the Poiana Fagului river in Harghita county to Lunca de Jos (although not the entire route is paved). On the territory of Bicaz-Chei commune there are two nature reserves: Bicaz Gorges and Șugăului Gorges, both of mixed type.
The only objective in Bicaz-Chei commune included in the list of historical monuments in Neamț county as a monument of local interest is the archeological site from "Munticelu" (near Bicaz-Chei village), where were found traces of a settlement from the Upper Paleolithic (Gravettian culture ).
