Not all trains went directly to the concentration camp,
many prisoner transports ended at the Dachau train station.
SS men then drove the prisoners on for the remaining three kilometers on foot: along the then "Adolf-HitlerStraße" (today: "Frühlingstraße"), through the railway underpass, over the "Friedenstraße" and the "Straße der SS" (today: »Street of the concentration camp victims«) to the camp entrance.
