The castle mill is one of the oldest structures in the area. The watermill used to belong to the castle and was used to grind grain. Then it was rebuilt and supplied the community with electricity. In 2004, however, the entire mill was converted into a residential building, café and mill museum and is therefore a nice destination for excursions: schlossmuehle-velen.de.
