The Purísima Concepción church is, without a doubt, from a historical-artistic point of view, the most outstanding building of the cultural heritage of Bustara.

The integral restoration works of the church of Bustarviejo, carried out between 2006-2009, financed by the Community of Madrid, reveal the great antiquity of this cultural enclave. Architecturally, the interior has a Latin cross plan and three naves separated by semicircular arches, with a large triumphal arch that separates the transept from the central nave and which is supported by the only column of the church and a large rectangular pillar, with a large apse, on its rear facade, which stands out from the rest of the building.

The tower, from the late 15th and early 16th centuries, considered to be the oldest element in the building, has a quadrangular plan, built in irregular masonry with ashlar masonry at the corners and supported by a masonry plinth. The atrium presents a succession of seven smooth shaft columns joined by a wooden architrave built at the beginning of the 17th century (1600-1617).

The archaeological intervention revealed a cave necropolis from medieval times with rectangular and ovoid pits dug into the rock covered with granite slabs, and an anthropomorphic sarcophagus. We must add the discovery of remains of mural painting from medieval times, of great interest for the theme represented and for its antiquity (14th century).

In front of the church and inside the beautiful ñ Bustarviejo veracity plate, we have a bar with exquisite craft beers from the local Bailandera factory
