The old Tajuña railway bridge over the Jarama river in La Poveda has been restored and conditioned for pedestrian access. The work, completed in February 2022, facilitates the passage of pedestrians and cyclists between Rivas-Vaciamadrid and Arganda del Rey.
This structure was destroyed during the civil war and later rebuilt. It was in operation until 1997 and today it only supports the tourist railway between Laguna del Campillo and La Poveda station, which operates from October to December.

It belongs to the old narrow gauge line that linked Madrid (Estación del Niño Jesús, next to Parque del Retiro) with Alocén, in Guadalajara, although there was a branch to Colmenar de Oreja.
It belonged to the Compañía de Ferrocarriles del Tajuña and had an irregular life because with Belgian capital they intended to take it to Aragón, in Caminreal, but it was not finished due to economic problems.
It was languishing, although it is true that the section that linked Vicálvaro with Morata de Tajuña remained active until 1997 and a tourist train still runs from La Poveda to the old factory next to the Campillo lagoon.
