The chapel at the foot of the Kaiserberg is the youngest of the five chapels in the Bernauer Hochtal. It is located at an altitude of 930 meters in a select, beautiful spot with a wide view of the valley and the adjacent mountain heights.

For years, the residents of the Kaiserhaus district had wanted to build a chapel, among them master carpenter Louis Köpfer in particular. After the war, in 1950, the realization started. A suitably beautiful place was soon found and master carpenters Franz Köpfer and Max Volk prepared the planning documents, which were then used for building.

The altarpiece depicts the Holy Family as the protector of the Bernau Valley throughout the year.

The chapel was consecrated in 1953 and was built in honor of the Holy Family.
