Whilst you don't normally need to follow designated paths when crossing heath lands, be careful there are some waterways here which can be hard to cross, especially in wet weather

Ober Heath is a beautiful heathland on the outskirts of Brockenhurst. It’s a red deer conservation area and, as such, a great place to spot herds in their natural habitat. Be sure to have your camera ready on hikes around the heath.
