A very well maintained windmill that is rarely found in the region. Mill dates from the 16th century.

The Düppelsmühle is located in the district of Düren, about 40 km west of Cologne, in the municipality of Titz (Zur Düppelsmühle).
Originally, the Düppelsmühle was in Efferen, a district of Hürth today.
The post mill was built in 1708.
In 1828 Johann Heinrich Driver bought the mill.
Because the old mill was still intact, easy to dismantle and transport, he had it built on the hill called Düppel near Titz.
In 1950 the milling operation was discontinued.
On June 9, 2014, the Düppelsmühle was destroyed by a lightning strike.
In June 2015, the budget committee of the Bundestag released a total of 130,000 euros to rebuild the mill because there was no corresponding insurance.
The mill was renovated with the money and can now be viewed from the outside again.
