The hiking trail no. 21 is approx. 11.1 km long. The path has few inclines and after a short time you reach the Siegfried Line (cusp line). This is accessible on a 50 cm wide concrete strip. Alternatively, there is the possibility to get on the further course of the hiking trail via a fixed and also marked path. It then continues in the direction of the Belgian border (today the RAVel cycle path) and along the way you touch the old Venn area. The path leads past Paustenbach to Paustenbacher Höhe (Kopp) and the Eifelkreuz. Here you can enjoy the wonderful foresight. Then it goes downhill again to another section of the West Wall (an alternative route is also possible here) and back to Simmerath.
