From up here, you have a beautiful view of Kobern, the Moselle, and Niederburg Castle. While you're here, you can also visit the Matthias Chapel. Or you can enjoy the view over the vineyards from a bench. Definitely worth a visit.

The restored defensive tower and a few parts of the building of the actual upper castle, which stood on the rock above Kobern-Gondorf, are still preserved. The "Matthias Chapel", which is part of the complex and is well worth seeing, presents itself to hikers/walkers in all its splendour. Its architectural model is in Tomar, Portugal.

At the Oberburg there is opposite the Matthiaskapelle a kind of balcony, from which one has a beautiful view of the Niederburg, Kobern and the Mosel valley.
