Lovers' Lane is a smooth paved trail shaded by mighty Eucalyptus trees that was supposedly used by soldiers based in the Presidio to meet their sweethearts. It crosses a bridge at its lowest point here and then climbs South-East to the Presidio Avenue Gate, all with only two road crossings, here and before the end.
