Peter Wiechenthaler Hut (1,752 m)

The Peter-Wiechentaler hut is located at 1,752 m near Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer with a wonderful sun terrace and a fantastic view! The Peter Wiechenthaler hut is located at 1752 m on the southwestern edge of the Steinerne Meer high above Saalfelden. It is located in the Salzburger Land in the Berchtesgaden Alps at the foot of the Persailhorn on the back of the Kienalkopf. It is a popular destination for hikers, but is also an important base for mountaineers, who can make demanding climbing routes from here as well as numerous summit ascents and transgressions in the Stone Sea.It is definitely worth a visit, you have a breathtaking view of the Saalfeldenerbecken and the Zeller See with the Hohe Tauern.
It is open every day from April to the end of October.
