The beautiful and well-kept Lourdes Grotto was built in 1934 and extensively restored in 2010. Concrete and joint work was started, and a new 75-meter protective fence was erected. This was made possible by a donation of 2,000 euros from the RWE local campaign. Johann Niederprüm in particular took on many volunteer hours, and in recent months he has made it his main task to restore the grotto to its former glory. Kathrin Herscheid took on the painting work.
