Today's Musikkapelle Oberstreu was founded in the founding meeting on April 22nd, 2008 as "Musikkapelle Oberstreu e.V.".
In addition to participating in ecclesiastical and secular events of a cultural nature, the band has dedicated itself to traditional and popular brass music.
Maintaining old customs is also a concern of the band.
The brewery festival, which is well known beyond the region, has been held every year for over 20 years.
