The Donaubühne in Tulln is the largest river stage in Austria and is only used in the summer months.
Already in the 1980s there was a floating platform that was used as a stage. Today's Donaubühne has existed since 1999. The floating stage is anchored near the center of Tulln on the banks of the Danube and was developed by the architect Eduard Neversal in close cooperation with a shipbuilder. In the course of the construction work, the existing spectator stand on the bank was expanded.Under the motto "Diversity under the Stars", open-air events from various areas have been taking place since 2002.
