In a first step, in 2013 the station was acquired by Nordic Walking e. V. and a private investor. The aim was to establish a Nordic Walking club and found a restaurant in Schönefeld train station. The foundation stone was laid for the current use of the station as a restaurant.

However, after a few years the project was abandoned and the station remained unused until 2020.

In the summer of 2020 the time had come: we moved into our newly acquired station.
While we were still running a small snack through the window in the first summer, everything was renovated: the guest room received a new solid oak parquet floor, the wall artist Birgit Kinder realized our wish to bring the Brandenburg pine forests into the guest room. In the next room we set up a cozy club room with a small media library (books and CDs) and games, the platform was given a terrace, and the restaurant kitchen was professionally furnished.
