The Trundle, an ancient hill fort just outside of Chichester, West Sussex, offers panoramic views of the South Downs National Park. Rich in history, it dates back to the Iron Age and attracts both hikers, history enthusiasts, and nature lovers.

Great place, Trundle (Old English for circle) is a walled area on Saint Roche's hill in West Sussex in England. A tribe called the Regin is responsible for building the ramparts; this was around 2,500 years ago in the Iron Age. In the immediate vicinity of The Trundle and with the best views is the Goodwood racecourse, which opened in 1801.

A Neolithic site that has impressive views over the Solent and Goodwood. Free parking on both sides of the Trundle and often a small coffee van at the base of the hill too.
