Alp Frid lies above Ernen at an altitude of almost 1,900 meters and serves as a gateway to the wild Rappental valley. The alp is reached on the second stage of the Valais Panorama Bike Route, with the ascent following a narrow, paved road through the Ärnerwaud (Ernerwald) forest.
Whether after the climb (around 800 meters of elevation gain from Ernen) or before the descent, the open meadows offer a perfect opportunity to take a short break and recharge while enjoying the magnificent views.
