The landmark of the valley village of Lengenfeld unterm Stein is the railway viaduct that spans the village. This viaduct is over 125 years old. The motivation for building the viaduct was once strategic considerations, since after the Franco-German War (1870-1871) the newly won areas should be accessible quickly.
