The Abbey is a Cistercian-Trappist monastery founded in the 12th century. The community now has some 25 monks. The monastery cannot be visited, but the church is accessible to the public and you can also take a spiritual retreat there. There is a shop where you can find the famous Tamié cheese, a very soft and very supple raw milk cheese.

Founded as a Cistercian monastery in 1132, today a Trappist monastery and spiritual retreat for individuals and (youth) groups. The interior of the ancient church exudes a very special atmosphere. The abbey is also known for the production of a special raw milk cheese, which is only made here.
