Nature has endowed this mountain with a large number of lakes. Most of the lakes cannot be reached by car, which protects them from human activity. The most famous Treskavica lakes are Veliko, Bijelo, Crno, Platno and Malo jezero, which are the most pronounced traces of the Ice Age on this mountain.
