The moated castle Hovestadt is very centrally located directly on the main street in the city. It has a very nice big garden and a nice big forecourt with some animals and small houses. Really nice and private with a very idyllic appearance. Great photo motif with a very idyllic moat. There is also the Lippe with a stork's nest and an overview map of the Auenland route. The connection to the neighboring community Lippetal is only about 1km away. Really worth it.

Very nice moated castle and right next to it is the overview map of the Shire Route. Right on the water behind the bridge when you turn right on the bike path down to Herzfeld. From there you can also watch the stork's nest during a nice break. Really worth it.
