The gravel highway that crosses the Valdichiana, a smooth dirt road with no traffic towards Arezzo or towards the Valdichiana, is a dirt road but the surface is in excellent condition and can be done even with a road bike. A straight track that runs through the countryside can be boring if you don't like that kind of thing.
