The Marburg Planetary Educational Path is the first of its kind. It is the first in the world that also allows blind people access.

The planetary educational path was created as a project of the Political Group at the Carl Strehl School, the grammar school for the blind and visually impaired of the German Institute for the Blind. In connection with the working group topic "Local Politics", the teacher Hans Junker planned and implemented this unique educational trail in a one-year work up to September 1995 together with 7 students from grades 9 and 10.
