At the point where the path reaches the Waschbach valley, there is a spring that the Igstadtern affectionately call "Brünnchen".

In winter the spring and the path are icy every now and then. In earlier times, wine was grown on this slope, which is also indicated by the field name "In den Weinbergsdrüsen". After an infestation by phylloxera in the 1920s, the vines were removed and the entire slope was planted with fruit trees. The slope shows another special feature. It is overprinted by landslides that have geological causes. These landslides still occur today and were also the reason why a planned building area could not be implemented. Slides also occurred during the construction of the Ländchesbahn in the 1870s, which delayed the completion of the line.
