The church was built in the 14th century. In the 18th century, a half-timbered tower was added. It underwent further reconstruction in the 19th and 20th centuries, giving it a neo-Romanesque style.

The filial church of St. Anne in Babinek is a historic temple dating back to the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. After a fire in 1907, it was rebuilt in the Neo-Romanesque style. It is distinguished by, among other things, stained glass windows from 1908 and historic gravestones of the von Lenke family – the former owners of Babinek. After the war, the church was reconsecrated on July 28, 1946.
