The Erlenbachbaude (1150m) is highly recommended. A family business, with a slightly Christian touch, with two chapels and one church service per week. The food is great, breakfast is not extravagant, but very good. Rooms are large enough with a balcony and a view of Ziegenrücken, Medvedin and Hohes Rad.
The absolute highlight is the large SPA with indoor pool, 4 saunas and 2 whirlpools.
There is an underground car park and you can leave the house early and immediately start hiking in all directions. The Giant Mountains ridge is 500 meters away.
