The former Schwenke house is one of the 14 former fortified manor houses in Haselünne. Between 1652 and 1669 it served as a residence for the Poor Clares, later as a residence and sexton's house; in the 17th and 18th centuries the building was structurally altered and around 1800 extended by an addition.
