On the circular route you automatically pass the "Hauptwache" viewing platform and the "Kaltes Eck" viewing point. At the latter there are several places to sit and lie down to enjoy the view. However, it is quite windy, so the name is not a coincidence 😉.

You should definitely plan the circular route when visiting the fortress, as there are some great viewpoints of Weißenburg and the surrounding area.
