The monument was built in 2005 from remnants of the old Main bridge between summer and winter living. Built in 1897, the bridge was destroyed by the US Air Force in World War II. On the winter houses side still the ramp and a customs house have been preserved.

An air bomb as a memorial and a related information board report on the 23.02.1945 when the air raid at 11:54 clock the bombs fell from the sky.

The Brückendenkmal not only invites you to commemorate, it offers itself with seating and a magnificent view over the Main to Winterhausen also very good as a rest stop.
