On many information boards, the Black Man with 697.8m HNH is listed as the highest point in the Schneifel and the third highest peak in the entire Eifel. But that's not correct!!! As you can read at de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwarzer_Mann, there is a point near the log cabin that deserves this classification with 699.1m HNH. Wikipedia lists this point as "unnamed", probably because it is so inconspicuous. That's why we named it "The Invisible Third" during our tour. Have fun!
