The church of Irrighe is documented at least starting from 1494, although its construction probably dates back to previous years. Over the centuries, the building's structures were renovated several times, so much so that in 1744, the rulers of Irrighe and Funes asked the bishop for permission to be able to rebuild the church as it was too small.

In 1783 Pope Pius VI granted a particular indulgence to the church now indicated with the new title of "Beata Vergine della Salute", a particular devotion imported from Venice, very much alive and felt by the local faithful since the seventeenth century who knew the famous votive basilica well Venetian for the work activities they practiced on behalf of the Serenissima.

And it is to Our Lady of Health that all the faithful of Alpago turn to be freed from the cholera epidemic of 1836, vowing to celebrate her feast every year on September 24, an event that is still very much felt and celebrated today.
