The "Historische Weiherschleife" - actually Kallwiesweiherschleife - remained in operation with interruptions until 1945. It then threatened to disintegrate, but was restored in 1953/54. After a renewed renovation and partial renewal in 1996/97, it is open again for visits. It is the last agate grinding mill on the Idarbach to be driven by a waterwheel. On the large sandstone grinding wheels, the expert tour guides demonstrate live the processing methods of earlier centuries.
