    Interesting sculptures in a small park on the banks of the Brenz in Giengen. Several banks invite you to take a break.

      The sculpture park is a beautiful ensemble of various statues made of concrete. The story of its creation is very exciting and is described on an information board, the content of which I quote here:

      "Sculpture park on the Brenzufer
      This sculpture park was created between January and September 2004 under the direction of the artist Helmut Braig.

      It is a symbol of the appreciation of art and a symbol of how idealism, coupled with civic engagement and energy, can produce something exemplary and interesting.

      With the voluntary participation of the artistically gifted citizens
      Karin Ardelean; Anke Bosse-Gillespie; Helga Cierpka; Jutta Häfele; Ulrike Haußler; Hanne Hornung; Birgit Koch; Filitsa Kountidis; Christine Mack; Marianne Niedan; Uschi Pfaff; Brigitte Rettenberger; Inge Schiele and Waltraud Stahl, 9 sculptures were created using the stone casting process in a total of around 1,500 hours of work for the entire planning and production. Helmut Braig alone put in 1,000 hours. This required 40 sacks of cement, gravel and sand as well as weatherproof paints.

      This campaign was supported by donations in kind and money from:
      Peter Drischer; Erich Ehrlinger; Jörg Ehrlinger; Wolfgang Fetzer, construction company; Lore Frey, Galerie Hohe Wart Winfred Gloge; Dr. Dieter Gienger; Anita Heindl;
      Martin Herrmann, painting company; Reinhold Hornung; Kurt Hübner; Dr. Erwin Kleemann; Karl Krauss; Kreissparkasse Heidenheim; Dr. Helmuth Lotz; Dr. Ulrich Moeferdt;
      Winfried Reinhardt; Robert Schazmann, window construction; Dr. Thomas Sonntag; Sabine Straka; Karin Upahl; Waltraud Wahl; A. Weber; Gerd Widmann; Reinhold Wiedemann; Dr. Gunter Laenglein; Albert Ziegler GmbH & Co.; Renate Ziegler."
