On a clear day you can see the Fehmarnsund Bridge. In the days of the GDR it was a place full of longing when you looked wistfully at the ferries that seemed inaccessible to us. Flight, mismanagement, spying, displacement and human tragedies then led in 1989 to what one wanted to withhold from our people, unity!
