The dams in Oberberg are interesting and historically important buildings. The Aggertalspeere in particular played an essential part in the development of the textile industry in Oberberg.

A really nice area. There are some beautiful spots at the Aggertalsperre. In Lantenbach there is a natural swimming pool as well as a camping and tent site.

The Aggertalsperre is of course the most impressive dam in the region and has a capacity of 20.5 million cubic meters of water.
It is great to cycle along the sides and see the diverse uses - boats, divers, anglers, swimmers, everything included. In places, the water looks like in the South Pacific and there are flat marginal zones where established bathing areas have arisen.
