The Digoin aqueduct is both a curiosity and a rarity. This 243 meter bridge allows barges to pass over the Loire. It is also open to pedestrians and cyclists, who are asked to walk alongside their bicycles during the crossing. This remarkable work was designed in the years 1880-1890. It allows the Canal Latéral à la Loire to connect a little further with the Canal du Centre.
